Re: Flexitarian Diet

I tried vegan/vegetarian eating, tried carnivore (meat only), and had trouble with both. The only thing that seems to work for me is the Paleo diet. You eat animals and plants. No grains, no bread, no processed anything. It's not a bad method.

Re: June is men's health month

Tai Chi? This weekend I'm going to the tai chi festival at the new tai chi farm near Warwick NY. I have always wanted to go to this and now I am finally going! Tai Chi and Atlas go well together!

Re: Goals

Agreed! Greed is the downfall of everything! To tell the truth, we in the USA have so much we should never be thinking we need more.

Re: 2018 New Year Resolutions

Well it is almost time for 2019 new year resolutions! How did everyone do on 2018? I resolved to begin fasting and I fasted for 46 days throughout the year. I lost about 30 pounds and then gained it all back in a month when we went through some hard emotional times with parents. Oh well, I have anot...

Re: How it feels to be Strong

Strong and natural is a great feeling! We have found a great way to stay both with our Atlas work. Recently I came across a booklet by Alan Calvert whose name you might know as he was the first person to sell plate loading barbells and he made quite a career out of it. Well, in this booklet Mr. Calv...

Farewell to Summer

So here we are in the last week of August. It's been a good summer but lots of work for me. Not as much time off as I would have liked but I am thankful to have a good job and I'm not complaining! It's always better to keep a good attitude don't you think? Our man Atlas would have agreed with me.

Wilderness Trip

Hi Everyone, I just got back from a backpacking trip in the Hickory Creek Wilderness Area in northern Pennsylvania. This place is untouched, no machines can enter, and no rangers patrol. It's in the Alleghany National Forest, and it was set aside by Congress back in the days when we had a functional...

Re: Cold showers

I have been skeptical about the cold shower advice, and never did that part of the course. I know lots of folks do it, there is even one school of thought that says you should pour a bucket of cold water over your head every morning! Nice to hear that someone is doing it and finding it a good thing....
