Atlas System Vs Weight Training

The Dynamic-Tension system blends perfect with my martial way activities, when I did do weights, my legs would be too stiff and sore for tai chi practice. I use many of the Atlas exercises at the Dojo, we don't do push-ups as part of the classes but when others see me doing some before the start, th...

Re: Chest excercises

I wouldn't replace dips myself but would add extra exercises, the perpetual lesson list the minimum basics that you can add to. If you have a problem with dips then you will have to use what is good for you, many enthusiasts will add advance variations as they progress. You don't have to do dips but...

Re: Squats

I sometimes practice squatting with feet straight parallel and go down with the back straight (no forward lean) like sitting on an invisible chair.

Nutrition

I generally eat healthy most of the time, I got home after work and got a bun and added some tuna and avocado mixture my wife Mary-Ann had made, I heated the fry pan and added olive oil, placed the sandwich in and put a lid on, then flattened it a bit by adding a small caste iron fry pan on top. Bro...

The Legs

In my martial way training, the legs are the foundation. I read often of guys who do 200 - 400 dips a day but how many reps for the legs. I think if you do 200 dips then you should be doing the same for calves and upper leg.

15 - 25 one set

My fave method is to use 3 chairs, they are tougher but I'm not going for high reps.

The Legs

An important thing I learnt from Tai Chi or Aikido was training the legs as #1. I come across lots of guys who just train the upper body and not even think about the legs. A really good exercise in the Dynamic-Tension system is exercise 7 in lesson 8. The legs can get very strong and muscular when t...

Booklet

The truest SUCCESS is but the development of self. The inspiration of Charles Atlas started with reading his ad and sending for the information booklet that was advertised. That book had me convinced and I sent for the course without hesitation. The Dynamic-Tension System totally inspired me and ha...

Radiant Health

Back in 2000 just before I got the Dynamic-Tension® System again, I got very sick with pneumonia and had a huge cyst in my right lung. The first thing that made me realize that the Atlas system was for me was reading the words PURE AIR DEEP BREATHING. The very first essential thing to do in securing...
