Sacroiliac Joint

My early 2005 training in Aikido I was throw pretty good and landed hard on the left sacroiliac joint area, I could barely walk out the Dojo. Over the years working on building sites and heavy warehouse lifting my body has had it's fair share of strain.
About 7 weeks ago I woke up with a pinch nerve sensation on the left side, I usually never get but sometimes I'm a bit stiff in the morning. Did our usual Saturday morning walkabout and all seemed good till near bedtime and next morning quite bad. I felt like I had the flu and could barely move from the pain and inflammation got severe. Not sciatica, the pain in both legs was near the front area.
I had to change my sleeping position on my front to sideways with a pillow between the knees. Seemed to get better then would do something that would set it off again, twice was with extended walks, short walks were OK.
I have to now avoid doing dips/push-ups, sit-ups and back bending. Basically only the tensing type of exercises in the Atlas system, there are many I can do.
I read it can take 8 weeks to get better.
