balance on standing leg exercises

the exercises where the legs are streched out to the front or to back....i am not there yet but tried all the exercises atleast once...i have a balance issue on these, can i successfully do it bracing myself with a chair? Anyone else modify or hold on to something lightly on these exercises?

by all means hold on to something to balance yourself if you have problems with balance. in time you'll get to where you won't need to do that. just be patient and persistent, and you'll acquire the balance you need. one of the beauties of Dynamic Tension is that it works on developing your sense of balance too.

Great that's what i thought...old injury many many moons ago knocked my hips outta wack. So I don't feel bad about holding on to a chair.

Keep your internal energy just below the navel, if you allow this energy to float up to the chest then your balance will be affected. Develop rooting energy, and practice daily.
