foods of convenience

Post by njworkoutguy »

Been reading an article from a Mens Magazine in regards to the most highly un-nutritious fast foods that exist. (One restaurant's meal contains 2,618 Calories, 144 g fat (51.5 g saturated fat, 2892 mg sodium). Luckily, Mr. Atlas knew all about eating healthy decades before nutritionists came along. Foods that are fast and convenient will only contribute to a slow death.

Mr. Atlas was far ahead of his time on many things. This is why his course of DT has continued to sell and inspire people for over 80 years.

Foods of convenience can ultimately lead to a great deal of inconvenience in the life of the person who consumes them.

2618 calories! Thats incredible. I think a pound is 3000 calories. Many people, most people, don't require 2618 calories for a whole day. What is even more odd is that many of these high calorie meals are in salads. People think they are getting a healthy meal while in reality it is loaded with fat, oils, cheese, salt, etc. People may laugh at how our ancestors ate a fatty diet, but it was lean compared to the stuff people are choking down at hamburger shacks, pizza joints, and chinese buffets.

You can sprinkle some flax oil and apple cider vinegar on salads.

Caharle Atlas advied against using vinegar. It is better to use a little lemon juice or some kind of low fat yogurt.

Raw fruits and vegetables are the best, with no dressing. As Spearhead says, naked salads are best.

I'm not a pizza or burger lover but a couple of days ago we called in a Mcdonalds for a drink as we had had a long drive. The sight that met us behind the counter was one of chaos, the floor of the kitchen area was filthy with food and empty boxes strewn at random. That has certainly stopped any thoughts I had about junk food, er fast food!

Actually Apple Cider Vinegar has many health benefits, and Flax Oil.
